I had a wonderful experience with my Lasik procedure there and I have to say that both Dr. John F. Warren and Dr. Andrew Walkowiak are truly THE BEST. When I decided to do Lasik, I did some research on a few different places in the area and Longwood Eye and Lasik came up first and got the best reviews!! I contacted them and scheduled a free consultation app. I’m so glad that I was a candidate for lasik and did the procedure with them. It is a really life changing. The procedure went really smooth and it was faster than I expected. I did not feel any pain during and after AT ALL. Both doctors made me feel calm and confident and explained everything to me. The whole team were very kind and professional as well. Now I can see even better than what I did with my glasses and lenses before. If you’re looking to do Lasik, this is the place to go to. I HIGHLY recommend them.

I got a laser eye procedure (ASA) and had great results! I mostly dealt with Dr. Walkowiak who was very kind and informative, he told me ASA would be a better choice than LASIK in my case, and I trusted that he would have said if I was not a suitable candidate. Dr. Warren did the procedure which was very quick with minimal discomfort, maybe 20 minute max. The first two weeks of recovery were pretty hard. I had blurry vision and needed to use a lot of eye drops, but they told me all of this before so I was prepared. It was about a month when my vision stabilized to what it was like when I had glasses, but I was comfortable driving maybe 10 days later. My glasses prescription was -5.00; it's been about 3 months since the surgery and my vision is 20/20 now. If you want your vision corrected, go get a consultation to see if you're a good candidate, I would totally do it again.

I am in my 40's and waited a long time to get LASIK done. I had worn contacts for 20 years and was happy with them, but over time they started to irritate my eyes more and more and I decided it was time. I'm an emergency physician but chose the Eye and LASIK Center in West Springfield because of the great online reviews and they were completely right! From my very first visit, everything was very professional and efficient. Over my initial (free) consultation and a pre-op visit, Dr. Walkowiak answered every one of my questions honestly and in a way that was easy to understand. On the day of the procedure, Dr. Warren made me feel completely at ease and the whole thing took maybe 10-15 minutes. It was completely painless except for maybe 10 seconds of slight discomfort on each eye. I was able to watch a movie that night and the next morning I was back to doing most of my usual activities with minimal eye irritation and PERECT VISION!! I can't recommend this group enough. I can look around now, see everything clearly with no eye irritation from contacts, and I can't believe I waited this long to get it done. Two big thumbs up and I will be recommending this group to everyone!

I went in for a LASIK consultation and after confirming that I was a good candidate with Dr. Walkowiak they were able to find me an appointment later that week. He explained the whole procedure to me and what I would have to do the day of. Dr. Warren was the one who did my surgery and he explained exactly what he was doing while he was doing it. It was a quick easy procedure and they made sure I was ok before letting me leave. The next day I went in for my follow up and was reading at 20/20. I got a couple more follow-up visits and was told if I had any questions or problems to give them a call. This was a very pleasant professional experience and they made me feel comfortable the whole time. With the overall experience and the reasonable flat rate, I don't think I could've found a better place to get this done.

I have had a great experience here with LASIK surgery and follow up appointments. When I walked in for the surgery, I was terrified, and Amber Rose at the front desk saw how scared I was and said kind and comforting things about how safe and good the practice is, she made me feel much more relaxed. Thank you! Dr. Walkowiak has been very professional and informative, taking time at every visit to explain all the tests and options. Dr. Warren did the surgery in about 3 minutes per eye.

I had a wonderful experience at Longwood Eye and LASIK in West Springfield. I was very nearsighted and had my vision corrected with ASA (also called PRK, a laser-refractive surgery like LASIK). All of the staff were helpful, kind, and responsive, and scheduling was easy, from the free consultation through the surgery itself. My pre-operative measurements were done by Dr. Walkowiak. He was very informative and answered all of my questions thoroughly, not to mention getting my prescription spot-on for the surgery. Dr. Warren was the surgeon who performed the procedure. Talking to him before the surgery gave me confidence that I was in good hands, as he had a professional and calming demeanor that put my mind at ease, and he explained the process very clearly. The surgery went smoothly, and now my vision is excellent, with no discomfort or side effects. I highly recommend Longwood Eye and LASIK, Dr. Walkowiak, and Dr. Warren to anyone considering laser-refractive surgery to correct their eyesight!

I am pleased to provide this very positive review of the Eye & LASIK Center in West Springfield, MA, along with its staff. I had my consultation to determine if I was a suitable candidate for LASIK on Thurs, Aug 9, 2018. After the staff took the time to examine my eyes and take preliminary measurements, they deemed me to be a great candidate for LASIK. I agreed it was the best course of corrective action for my eyes. I was scheduled for pre-op eye measurements on Wed, Oct 3, 2018, and then my surgery was scheduled for Thurs, Oct 11, 2018. Dr. Warren and Dr. Walkowiak did an excellent job of explaining exactly what was going to happen before, during, and after the surgery. The cost of the surgery includes all pre and post op appointments. (4 in total: 1 before; 3 after) I had a good deal of discomfort the evening after my surgery, which was to be expected. I was able to see with crystal clear vision, albeit with moderate discomfort, the very next morning. That same morning was my first post-op appointment, when my vision was assessed at 20/15 in both eyes (prior vision was about 20/60). The two prescription drops, in addition to the tear drops, helped me have a swift recovery in both comfort and healing. I am writing this review because I am incredibly pleased with how well this experience panned out for me. I am very happy with how clear my vision is (still 20/15 as of my one-week post-op appointment); I feel like I got to hit the reset button on my vision. This was the best investment I could have made on myself. I thank the surgical services team for an all-around great experience; I would recommend the Eye & LASIK Center to anyone who is a good candidate for LASIK.

From the consultation to post-op care, Dr. Walkowiak was amazing! Every time I came in for an appointment for my LASIK, the waiting room was clean and organized and the receptionists were great! Everyone was concerned for privacy and was highly attentive. I am going to recommend everyone I know to Longwood Eye! My eyes are at a 20/15 after my LASIK surgery and I have been wearing glasses since I was 10 years old. It was a little scary when I went in for the surgery and everyone made me feel very comfortable. From Dr. Warren explaining the process to keeping me informed during surgery, I felt less scared as the surgery progressed. I am very happy with my results for this surgery! With a free consultation this is the best place in the area!

Had LASIK done here a week ago, so it’s an early review of course. But I can say the staff at Longwood are all fantastic - Dr Walkowiak did all my pre and post op care, and Dr Warren performed the procedure. Both have been wonderful to work with, and I couldn’t be more happy with my results so far. The procedure was painless and extremely quick - I think I was in the room for less than 10 minutes. My eyes were a little uncomfortable afterwards but took a nap (which accidentally ended up being a 4 hour nap). When I woke up, I felt totally fine, and I could see clearly, even through the plastic eye covers. One week down the line and my vision is better than 20/20, with the expectation that it’ll only continue to improve over the next month or so. Also a quick note about some of the 1 star reviews, it seems like at least a few of those are actually people trying to review the practice next door (which shares the building and lobby space), not Longwood Eye and LASIK Center. — Quick update about a year post-op, couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! Didn’t have any complications and my vision has stayed great - huge thanks to Dr Walkowiak and Dr Warren!

Dr. Warren and Dr. Walkowiak were both outstanding doctors and I am so grateful to have booked my Lasik through Longwood Eye. All other staff at Longwood Eye were great as well. Dr. Walkowiak was very kind, approachable, knowledgeable, and helped to answer any questions I had and make me comfortable during the entire pre op process. Dr. Warren performed my surgery and it couldn’t have gone better in my opinion! He also was very kind and knowledgeable and broke things down step by step so I knew what to expect the entire time (love no surprises!).
