When it comes to having perfect vision, it seems like something to brag about until one day your vision takes a turn for the worse and you have to join the glasses club. If you have lived a life of luxury and have never had vision problems, you may not know what to expect. Here are four signs that you may have vision problems.
- Painful Eyes
If you get punched in the eye or you’re playing a game of football with friends and get nailed right in the eye, you are undoubtedly going to suffer from at least some amount of eye pain. But when it comes to your everyday life, if you start experiencing some vision pain then it could be a sign that you are suffering from vision problems like glaucoma.
- Blurred Vision
One of the most common indications that you have vision problems is blurred vision. If you are having a hard time seeing either up close or far away (or both) then you may be in need of some prescription lenses. If you have noticed your vision get drastically worse in a short period of time, make sure to call our office right away.
- Chronic Headaches
Headaches on their own could mean one thing, but when you combine them with some other vision-related symptoms, then they could mean you are in need of glasses. Try to keep track of when you get headaches. Do they occur after you’ve been reading or focusing on something for too long? They could also be indicative of a condition called eye strain. Either way, if headaches are becoming your new norm, then contact our office for an eye exam.
- Double Vision
Are you seeing double? Does it look like there is a ghost behind most objects and people? If so, make sure to contact our office or your general practitioner immediately.
If you suffer from any or a few of these eye symptoms, make sure to schedule an eye examination with our staff at Longwood Eye & LASIK Center. To learn more about how you can take better care of your vision, call our office today at (800) 676-5050.
